P2P markeplace
In a peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplace the skin stays in the seller’s own Steam inventory until a buyer pays, so no bot is involved. Because the skin never leaves the seller’s account, the seven-day trade hold that would apply after sending it to a bot does not kick in.
Marketplace fee
After a sale is made a flat 2.5% fee is paid by the seller not the buyer.
Bargain/Buy‑order
You can bargain on any item. Minimum bid is at least 80 % of the ask price, and the seller gets an instant pop-up to accept or counter offer.
Place a buy-order at your exact target price; BUFF locks the funds and automatically snipes the first matching item—even while you’re offline.
Time after sale
Once a sale is made the seller must send the trade offer within 12 hours (30 minutes if it is a buy order). Miss that window and the account is penalized. After the offer is sent, the buyer has 24 hours to accept.
Penalty/Fine
Ignoring or cancelling the trade offer by the seller or buyer, the party at fault must pay the other 2% of the skin's price as compensation. Multiple offences can lead up to a 30-day ban.
